Gnadenhutten, Ohio - Members of the Indian Valley school community will have several more opportunities to learn about an upcoming bond issue and the district’s plans for the construction of a new football stadium.

During the month of October, the district will be hosting three community meetings to provide information about the 2-mill, 28-year bond issue bond issue that will appear on the November 6th ballot. The district is seeking a $7 million bond for the construction of a new athletic stadium on approximately 19 acres of land directly behind Indian Valley High School.

The meetings are scheduled for Monday, October 8, at Indian Valley Middle School; Wednesday, October 17, at Port Washington Elementary; and Tuesday, October 23, at Midvale Elementary. All three meetings begin at 7 p.m.

Superintendent Ira Wentworth says the meetings will follow the same format as the meeting held last month at Indian Valley High School and include a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.

He says the purpose is to enable voters to make an informed decision at the polls.
