Gnadenhutten, Ohio - Students attending grades 1-12 in the Indian Valley Local School District are set to begin classes for the 2018-2019 school year on Wednesday, August 22.  Kindergarten students will use a two-day phase-in with all students attending Friday, August 24. The starting time for students will be 8 a.m., with the school day ending at 3 p.m.

Bus routes -  Routes will be the same for many students, but there will be some changes. Any new students to district will be notified by their bus driver of the pick-up time. Any necessary adjustments will be made after an accurate count of passengers is established. For any busing questions, contact Archie Gardner at the Central Office, 740-254-4834 or at archie.gardner@ivschools.org. 

Lunch prices - Type A lunches for grades K-5 will be $2.50; reduced lunch is $.40; grades 6-12 will be $2.75; reduced lunch is $.40; adult lunches are $3.25.  Extra milk or juice will be $.50.  Breakfast will be available at all buildings.  Cost for breakfast will be $1.25; reduced breakfast $.50.  Supply fees are $40.00 for students in grades K-8.  High School students’ supply fees are determined by classes taken throughout the year.  Parents with students in grades K-8 are offered a $5.00 discount if they pay their fees on or before October 8, 2018.

Supply lists - Lists for Midvale Elementary, Port Washington Elementary, and Indian Valley Middle School are posted at the buildings and also available on the schools' websites. Go to www.ivschools.org and click on the respective building to find the link to the supply lists. 

Kindergarten registration - Any Kindergarten student needing to register and be screened can call Midvale Elementary at 330.339.1191 or Port Washington Elementary School at 740-498-8389 to schedule an appointment. Your child must be 5 years old by August 1 to register.

Athletic passes - Senior Citizen passes and All-Sport Passes for athletic events will be available at all buildings after August 15. A new pass is required for the 2018-2019 school year. The pass is available for anyone age 60 or older and must be retired and living in the Indian Valley district.  Proof of age and address is required. All-Sport Passes will be on sale at the high school after August 15.
