TUSCARAWAS COUNTY (Tusco TV) - Tuscarawas County Humane Society officials are asking supporters to shine up their cars, tune up their bikes and join them for a weekend of transportation-themed fundraisers.

Fundraising Chair Ashley Bryant says their “Wheely Fun Weekend” kicks off Friday with a car show featuring food trucks, auctions and live music.

“That will be in the parking lot at Harvest Church and Hoodletown Brewing Co., which is right by the Dover Flea Market. It starts at 4 o’clock and it runs till 8:30. Entry is $10 per car, and we’ll have t-shirts available if you want to look at those,” she says.

The festivities continue Saturday morning at Tuscora Park with the Pedal4Paws bike ride. Bryant says the event includes 10, 20, or 50-mile options for avid riders and a 2-mile course people can walk or bike with their families.

“The two-mile family ride, you walk, basically down by Ernie’s and you walk right back up, so it’s a very short, easy walk or ride for anybody that just wants to join,” she says.

Registration is $40 per person or $30 for the family ride. Bryant says registration includes a ticket to the humane society's chicken barbeque fundraiser that's happening at the park the same day from 11 to 2. Tickets for non-riders are $10 each at the Tuscarawas County Humane Society and Paul's Body Shop and $12 for walkups.
