Tuscarawas County, Ohio (WJER) - The Valley will continue having the same representation in the Ohio Senate.

During Tuesday’s election, 31st District Senator Jay Hottinger easily won his bid for reelection, earning about 67-percent of the vote against Democrat Melinda Miller.

Hottinger says he is humbled to have been re-elected and grateful for the support he received in all five of the counties he serves.

“The best way to have success on election day is how you go about and do your job on all the other days of the year. I’m already scheduling speeches and events for next week and next month and even next year already,” he says.
