The Zoar Harvest festival draws more than sixty premier dealers of early American antiques to Historic Zoar Village each year. (Historic Zoar Village)

ZOAR – Historic Zoar Village will be holding its 46th-annual Harvest Festival and Antiques Show Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.

The Harvest Festival commemorates the end of what was the traditional wheat harvest in 19th century Zoar. It includes one of the nation’s premier antique shows, drawing nearly 60 dealers of high-quality early American antiques dating from the late 1700s to the early 1900s. Merchandise for sale ranges from furniture and art to textiles, paintings and more.

For the sixth year, the festival will include an Artisans Tent housing high-end decorative art from nearly 30 juried artisans, including that of Will Moses, the great-grandson of Grandma Moses. For sale in the tent will be Moses’ children’s books and puzzles, redware, pottery, ceramics, stone carvings, period reproduction furniture, theorem paintings and other works of art.

Visitors also can enjoy homemade German food, beer, and live musical performances throughout the weekend and shop for moderately-priced contemporary crafts throughout the village. Admission includes museum tours and demonstrations on 19th-century methods in weaving, spinning, and blacksmithing.

Admission to the festival is $10 for adults 13 and over; free for children 12 and under. The cost includes a wristband that provides access to the entire event, including tents, demonstrations, museums, and antique car show on Sunday and other activities. Wristbands can be purchased at the Zoar Store & Visitors Center or one of the outdoor ticket booths.
