CANTON - Two local organizations dedicated to helping parents are joining forces to host a day a family-friendly fun at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Newsymom.com is partnering with the Stark County Fatherhood Coalition to host the first inaugural Family Fun Day on September 21st from 10 am to 12:30 pm.

Sponsored by Paramount Advantage, the event will feature three activity stations for families to enjoy together. The Pro Football Hall of Fame will lead the sports station where families will participate in an athletic activity and special presentation by former NFL linebacker Shawn Crable; the Canton Symphony will lead the music station where families can engage with the musical petting zoo; and Newsymom will have an art station where families will participate in an interactive art project.

Newsymom founder Michaela Madison says it made sense for the two groups to team up because they share a similar vision.

"Together, we can unite families in a day of fun where they can make memories to last a lifetime," she says.

The event will also feature an appearance by Cleveland Browns mascot Brownie the Elf from 11 to noon. The Stark County Library will have their Book Mobile there throughout the entire event, and after it's over, families can tour the Pro Football Hall of Fame free of charge.

Pre-registration is required by contacting Stark County Fatherhood Coalition Coordinator Matt Lytle at matthew.lytle@jfs.ohio.gov or 330-451-8477.
