Uhrichsville, Ohio - Four individuals are facing charges following a complaint of shots fired in Uhrichsville neighborhood Sunday evening.

On September 30 just after 7 p.m., officers from the Uhrichsville Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of North Uhrich Street in response to a call about shots fired in the area.

Upon arrival, officers encountered numerous subjects fleeing the residence. They were able to quickly take into custody 38-year-old Michael Daniels of Senecaville and 47-year-old Steve Scott of Uhrichsville, who were both wanted on outstanding warrants.

While on the scene, officers learned that a third male inside the residence had fired a handgun towards Daniels during an argument. Officers determined that the bullet was shot through the upstairs floor and exited the ceiling in the downstairs living room, striking a ceiling fan. No one was injured.

Officers ultimately located 45-year-old Dale Carothers III of Uhrichsville, who admitted to firing the gun. He was taken into custody without incident.

A search of the residence by the department’s K9 unit revealed numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia along with suspected methamphetamine and heroin. The gun was found hidden under towels on a shelf.

A female subject, 28-year-old Amanda Patterson of Uhrichsville, was placed under arrest for obstructing, and possession of drug abuse instruments. All three men are facing charges of possession of drug abuse instruments, and Carothers is also being charged with discharging a firearm within city limits and aggravated menacing.

Further felony charges are pending against Carothers and another female who lives at the residence.

Assisting on the scene were the Tuscarawas County Sheriff Department and the Dennison Police Department.
