New Philadelphia, Ohio - The New Philadelphia State Highway Patrol Post is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Harrison County woman Wednesday morning.

Sgt. Robert Simone says a 1996 Ford F-250 was headed westbound on State Route 258 at approximately 8:29 a.m. when it traveled off the right side of the road, striking a ditch and then traveled off the left side of the road, striking a tree.

The vehicle was being driven by 59-year-old Marianne Nagley of Tippecanoe. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tuscarawas County Coroner’s Investigator. No one else was in the vehicle.

The incident remains under investigation, and Simone says a seatbelt was in use when the crash occurred.

The Newcomerstown Fire Department, Delaware Valley Fire and Rescue, Tri-Division Ambulance and the Ohio Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
