Dover, Ohio - Dover Light and Power will be kicking off Public Power Week (Oct. 7-13) with an open house at the Dover Light and Power Plant on Sunday, October 7. 

From 1 to 4 p.m., the community will have an opportunity to tour the plant and learn about how electricy is generated. Representatives from Babcock & Wilcox will also be on hand to offer expert demonstrations and a video representation of the steam generation equipment owned and used by Dover Light and Power.  

The City of Dover has been providing dependable, reliable electricity for its residents for nearly a century. Service began by providing street lighting during limited hours. Now, Dover Light & Power provides reliable and affordable energy to nearly 14,000 residents and almost 1,000 businesses.

The Dover Light and Power Plant is located 303 East Broadway St. in Dover.
