DOVER (Tusco TV) - Dover Public Library officials are using the library’s rotating gallery space to highlight the artistic talents of people with disabilities.

Technical Services Assistant Jan Ridenour says the Starlight Enterprises Art Program will have paintings and crafts on display all month long the library’s Community Room. Ridenour people can stop by anytime they’re open to check out the exhibit, and if they see something they like, they can buy it take it to take home.

"We’ve already sold one, and that was really exciting, and in the display case we have different items that they’ve also made which are available for purchase as well as the paintings in the community room, and there’s just a wide variety of subject matters. They’re just really great, and it’s an exciting thing to be able to do that," she says.

Starlight Enterprises CEO Cassie Elvin says in addition to the display, there will also be a reception on October 15th where people can enjoy some refreshments and visit with the artists.

"The first one is 10:30 to 1:30 and there’s also a second one in the afternoon that is open to the public, and we are trying to have some of the artists there so they can do a meet-and-greet," she says.

Elvin says people who aren’t able to make it to the library for the exhibit can also visit their new working art studio and retail space in New Towne Mall that’s located between the Marshalls entrance and food court.
