Dover, Ohio - The Dover Public Library is offering more free technology classes to the public.  

A hands-on class on Microsoft Excel will be offered on Saturday, Feb. 23rd beginning at 10:30 am. Participants will learn data entry, sorting, basic formulas, and more using Microsoft's spreadsheet program. Experience with Microsoft Office is helpful but not necessary.

 Another series of classes will introduce participants to basic computer programs and functions:

  • Computer Basics 1 is being offered on Saturday, March 23rd, at 3 pm. This class is designed for people with little to no computer experience and covers basics including how to use the mouse and keyboard and Windows navigation.
  • Computer Basics 2 is scheduled for Saturday, March 30th, at 3 pm. This follow-up class will cover additional Windows navigation, including managing files and folders, internet safety, and web surfing basics. Participants must know how to use a  mouse and keyboard.
  • Computer Basics 3 is on Saturday, April 6th, at 3 pm. This final class will cover copy and paste, using email, and more. Participants must know how to use a mouse and keyboard and have an email address.
