Dover, Ohio - The Dover Public Library is seeking submissions for the third volume of its Tapestries of Tuscarawas County literary magazine.

Tapestries of Tuscarawas County is a magazine that features stories, art and photography capturing what it is like to live in Tuscarawas County.

Residents are invited to submit their memories for publication in this year's volume and an opportunity to win cash prizes.

The library is offering one first-place $100 prize and one second-place $50 prize to the two most appealing stories or art. The deadline to make submissions is October 1, 2018.

Tapestries of Tuscarawas County is part of the Dover Public Library's oral and living history project. Its goal is to weave together the stories of the community into one tapestry which conveys the beauty of the county.

The library is planning a magazine release party for the fall. During the event, contributors will receive a free copy of the book and have the opportunity to read excerpts from their work.

Copies of the magazine will be available to the public following publication at the Dover Public Library and other local libraries and historical societies.

The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut Street, across the street from Dover High School.  For the registration form and submission guidelines, stop in at the library, email library director Jim Gill at director@doverlibrary.org, call the library at 330-343-6123, or go to www.doverlibrary.org.
