Dennison, Ohio - Dennison residents are getting a chance to clear out some clutter just in time for spring cleaning.

Village Administrative Assistant Tammie Taggert says anyone who lives within the Dennison corporation limits can get rid of all sorts of unwanted items during Spring Cleanup Days on May 7th and 8th.

"Now, we don’t take regular trash items or tires or batteries or fluorescent lights or oil or paint but the rest of the items we’ll take like home furnishing and computers and car parts, appliances, pop cans, swings, slides, mattresses, those type of things," she says.

Taggert says all people have to do is call her up at village hall to get on the list, and a crew will come out on collection day to pick up those items.

"They can call here. I’m here from 8 to 4:30 Monday through Friday, and they can call and get on the list," she says. "The street department will come around on those days in the morning and pick all that up."

Taggert says this is a service they offer every year to help residents who may be unable to take their items to a collection.

"We have a lot of residents that are handicapped or elderly that aren’t able to do that, and so this helps them out quite a bit," she says.

The number for residents to call to get on the list or ask questions is 740-922-4072, extension 4.
