Dennison, Ohio - Claymont school officials and union negotiators will have one more chance to reach a deal to avoid a threatened strike by non-teaching union members.

OAPSE Field Representative Lynda Bolon says the parties are going back to the table again Thursday after failing to come to an agreement Monday during a session with a federal mediator.

If issues such as wages and insurance can’t be resolved Thursday, union members including bus drivers, custodians, secretaries and cafeteria workers will go on strike the following day at 12:01am.

Superintendent Scott Golec has said the district is prepared to remain open if the strike goes forward.
