Uhrichsville, Ohio - Police say two brothers are in custody for outstanding warrants and will likely face felony charges in connection with a Friday morning drug raid at a residence on the south side of the city.

Uhrichsville K-9 Unit commander Sgt. Mike Hickman says they executed a search warrant at a house in the 100 block of South Wallace Street on November 23rd at around 8 a.m. with assistance from Dennison Police, the New Philadelphia/Dover Special Response Team and LEAD Task Force. The Tuscarawas County Dog Warden was also on scene and secured two dogs so officers could search the residence.

Hickman says during the search, they arrested two male occupants for outstanding warrants and recovered a large amount of suspected spice and suspected chemical components for illegal drug manufacturing along with numerous other drug-related items, cash, and guns.

Jeffrey E. Elmore, 23, was arrested on a warrant out of New Philadelphia Municipal Court for illegal drug manufacturing and Devin L. Elmore, 25, was wanted out of Carroll County for unpaid child support.

Hickman says the suspected drugs and chemical components will be sent to the BCI for testing. Once the results are confirmed, a report will be sent to the Tuscarawas County Prosecutor to review for possible felony charges.

Hickman says the warrant was the result of a lengthy investigation into suspected drug activity at the residence.

“It’s just been a long investigation, putting all the pieces together to get a search warrant,” he says.
