New Philadelphia, Ohio - Buckeye Career Center students and parents recently enjoyed breakfast together at school.

The career center held it's 3rd-annual Pancakes with Parents event on Wednesday, February 13th. Superintendent Bob Alsept and Adult Education Director Frank Polen helped prepare the pancakes, while other administrators and staff served the meal to the 388 parents and students in attendance. After breakfast, parents had an opportunity to tour their student's lab as the school day got underway.

Principal Matt Fockler says the turnout for the event was exceptional.

“It was extremely nice to see high school students have breakfast at school with their parents,” he says. “The bells were ringing, we did announcements, they saw labs, and kids were in the hallways. They
get that actual school day experience.”

Family photos were also captured and will be distributed to each student who attended.
