NEW PHILADELPHIA – Buckeye Career Center officials preparing to kick off another year of learning with opportunities for students to get acquainted with the campus. 

BCC's annual Buckeye Palooza celebration on Monday, August 19th, to welcome new students for their first day of classes. The event features inflatables, food, and games for students to interact with their classmates and instructors. Returning students head back to class Tuesday, August 20th. Both days begin at 7:50 am and end at 2:25 pm. 

Buckeye will also be hosting an orientation for high school students on Wednesday, August 14, from 12:30 to 7:30 pm. Students and their families can stop by at any time during the event to pick up their schedules, have their student id photo taken, register for a parking permit, pay fees, receive a copy of the dress code and code of conduct, get login information and assistance with online student forms, and have their questions answered before school starts. Students will also have an opportunity to apply for BCC’s Drug Free Clubs of America chapter. Free hand-dipped ice cream will be provided. 

Student fees and lunch account payments may be paid with cash, check, or credit card during orientation or anytime in the treasurer’s office. Payments can also be made online using PayForIt.net. Students who chose to pay for their lunch daily can still do so at the cashier station in the cafeteria. Breakfast and lunch prices remain the same from the 2018-19 school year. Breakfast is $2.25, and lunch is $3.25.
