New Philadelphia, OH (March 14, 2019) – Buckeye Career Center will again host a career and technical education signing day to honor students who have committed to full-time employment or a position within the military.

The event is planned for Wednesday, May 15th, at 10am in the Joe Carlisle Café to celebrate the commitment and accomplishments achieved by students who are entering the workforce directly after high school.  It is similar to athletic or college signing day events.

The career center's first signing day event occurred in 2018 and featured four students who were hired to work full-time for Allied Machine & Engineering. BCC Superintendent Bob Alsept says this is a way to highlight students who are achieving their career goals.

“This is a great way to celebrate one of our most important accomplishments as a career center,” he says. “We are very proud of our skilled students who are moving into full-time employment.”

Local companies or military branch interested in participating in the event can visit the BCC's website to download the registration form. The deadline to register is May 6th.
