These Buckeye Career Center students are among the state finalists moving on to the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference: Photo 1 - 2nd place Network Design Team of Nathan Correll, Michael Koerber, and Aaron Miller; Photo 2 - Fundamental Word Processing 2nd-place state finisher Eric Yoder (East Holmes); Photo 3 - Payroll Accounting 3rd-place finisher Eric Gordon (Garaway). 

New Philadelphia, Ohio – A group of Buckeye Career Center students will be heading to California this spring to represent their Business Professionals of America chapter during the National Leadership Conference.

Four students from the career center's main campus in New Philadelphia will join nearly 6,000 delegates from around the country in Anaheim beginning May 1st for four days of business skills competitions, leadership training and workshops. They are System Administration with Microsoft Top 5 state finisher Alex Mann (Claymont) and 2nd-place Network Design Team Aaron Miller (New Phila), Nathan Correll (Claymont), and Michael Koerber (New Phila). 

BCC's  East Holmes campus has 10 students competing at nationals. They are the 1st-place Parliamentary Procedure Team of Abe Hershberger, Grace Miller, Kerri Miller, Lorraine Miller, MaryBeth Miller, Eric Yoder, Joshua Yoder, and Karlin Yoder; Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications 3rd-place finisher Grace Miller; and Fundamental Word Processing 2nd-place finisher Eric Yoder.

Garaway Accounting Program student and 3rd-place state finisher Eric Gordon will also be competing in Payroll Accounting.

Business Professionals of America is a career and technical student organization for students preparing for careers in business, finance and management, information systems, and other related fields.
