NEW PHILADELPHIA – Fourteen high school seniors are being recognized for deciding to pursue future careers in the arts.

The Tuscarawas County Arts Partnership recently held their second-annual Art Signing Day at the Kent State Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center in New Philadelphia. The event included displays and presentations of the students’ work and an awards ceremony during which each honoree was presented with an award made by Warther Woodworking. 

Students honored during the event included: 

  • Buckeye Career Center - Miranda Vega (Graphic Design, The University of Akron), Charayah Dickey (Graphic Design, Pittsburgh Technical College), Kiara Gingras (Art, Columbus College of Art and Design)
  • Dover High School – Max Beal (Music Production, Groove University), Kayla Davis (Visual Arts, Eckerd College), Brooke Sommers (Art Education, Kent State), Cole Senter (Fine Arts, Cleveland Institute of Art)
  • Garaway High School – Jagger Stutzman (Illustration, Columbus College of Art and Design)
  • Indian Valley High School – Jacey Dummermuth (Art History, Kent State University), Gabrielle McDaniel (Graphic Design/Marketing, University of Akron), Shaylee Shepherd (Graphic Design/Marketing, Ohio State University), Whitney Lawrence (Drama, Kent State University), Issac Vogel (Digital Media Production, Kent State University)
  •  New Philadelphia High School – Dylan Mears (Animation, Columbus College of Art and Design), Kordell King (Music Technology: Audio Recording, Kent State Stark)

TUSCARAWAS COUNTY ARTS PARTNERSHIP
