The Tuscarawas County Anti-Drug Coalition recently launched a new website featuring information and tips for parents on the four main substances today's youth struggles with.

NEW PHILADELPHIA (Tusco TV) - Tuscarawas County Anti-Drug Coalition is enhancing its youth substance use prevention efforts with a new online resource for parents.

The group recently launched its newly-revamped website at adctusc.org. Coordinator Jodi Salvo says it’s designed as a one-stop source for information, tips and more on the four substances kids today struggle the most with.

"So they’re marijuana, prescription drug, alcohol and tobacco. So if a parent is really interested in say the vaping issue because we know vaping is kind of a hot topic, not only in our county but nationally, you can go to the tobacco piece on our website, and when you click on that, what do you need to know," she explains.

Other features of the website include sections for videos and coalition updates, an events calendar and a community resource directory. Salvo says they wanted to freshen things up and make the site more engaging.

"The first website we’ve had since 2012 since we first convened as a coalition and sometimes just when you have an older website it’s sometimes just time to refresh and really make sure it fits your organization as it is now because we have seen a lot of changes of the last couple of years," she says.

Salvo says they’re going to be updating the site all the time, so they encourage people to check back frequently.
