These Kent State Univesity at Tuscarawas nursing students were recently inducted into the Alpha Delta Nu honor society. (Kent State University at Tuscarawas)

NEW PHILADELPHIA - Kent State University at Tuscarawas’ Gamma Sigma Chapter of the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society celebrated academic excellence with the recent induction of 17 new members.

Alpha Delta Nu is the honor society for associate degree nursing students, encouraging the pursuit of advanced degrees in the profession of nursing as well as continuing education as a life-long professional responsibility. 

The following students from Kent Tusc's  Associate Degree in Nursing program were admitted into the group: Aric Anderson, Emily Chiavari, Francesca Clemente, Debbie Haney, Molli Jacobs, Devan Lazor. Ashley Pate, Jaci Pierce, Lauren Ramey, Hailey Sabol, Samantha Sayre, Autumn Scheall, Preston Stutzman, Sable Vanderpool, Vanessa Vega, Katie Wright and Amie Zumbach. 

To qualify for membership, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in all general education classes, earn a grade of B or higher in each nursing class and demonstrate integrity and professionalism on campus and in the clinical settings.

The students welcomed into the group during a ceremony on April 17th. Each inductee was presented with an honor certificate and a peach honor cord and organization pin to be worn at pinning and graduation ceremonies.
