New Philadelphia, Ohio - Tuscarawas County voters don't need to wait until November 6 to cast their ballot in the upcoming election.

Tuscarawas County Board of Elections Deputy Director Sarah Kneuss says ballots will be mailed out today for those who requested a mail-in absentee ballot. Completed ballots should be me mailed to Tuscarawas County Board of Elections, PO Box 69, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.

In addition to the mail-in option, Kneuss says voters can also cast an absentee ballot in person at the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections office during business hours through November 6. The office is located at 125 E. High Ave. in downtown New Philadelphia, and voters should follow the signs to enter through the doors facing North Broadway.

Kneuss reminds those planning to vote to bring proof of identity. Accepted forms of identification include drivers licenses,  state-issued photo identification cards, and military identifications; or copies of utility bills, bank statements, paychecks, government checks, or governments document showing the voter's name and current address. 

In-person absentee voting hours are as follows: 

  • October 10-12 = 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • October 15-19 = 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • October 22-26 = 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • October 27 = 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • October 29 - November 2 = 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • November 3 = 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • November 4 = 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • November 5 = 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
